I really like the modern EdP. I find it peachy and round, but the EdT is closer to the perfume. Closer, however a very different animal if comparing the modern day EdT with vintage perfume. I have so many No.5's from the late 1940's to present and most times I prefer to wear the latest EdP and EdT. I like the modern,contemporary smell.In terms of projection and sillage, though, for me the edp seemed to have a slight advantage. IMO, the current EdP is sweeter and more powdery, whereas the EdT is sharper and more transparent. But both are typically Chanel-floral. Ironically, the extrait is the most bracing and bright. Seconding other's recommendation you try Cristalle.
